Just Some Things I wanted to get off my chest

Hi fellow coders. If anybody reading my blog, how are you? How’s life been?

Today was one of those “blue” days.

Many things may have triggered it. Maybe a combination of things.

Maybe I have been obsessive about my work, or maybe my online schools, I’m not sure. Maybe things built up.

I have a cat named Arni. I call him “Momo” or “Dodo” generally. A cute 8 year old grey-white British shorthair.

We haven’t taken him to the vet for almost a year. Since he is always at home, we didn’t think much.

But recently he became too sleepy, not eating, not drinking much water.

We decided to take him to the vet. Last week, 2-3 times for shots and checkup.

They said Momo’s kidneys and heart seemed to have problems.

We took to another vet. They said he needs an ultrasound to see what’s going on.

Now, I started to think he was dying and these were the last days.

Fee him wet food with hand, he keeps sleeping. Now it’s nighttime and he got up, ate some food when I put the bowl in front of him. Still looks sleepy but went to the toilet too.

The bloodwork shows as far as I and the holy LLMs understand, not so bad after all. But still need to know the results after we do the ultrasound next week.

I was totally messed up today. Feeling super depressed and anxious.

At the same time I am thinking, ok, Yunus, get up, your cat may die or may not.

You do what you can do.

There are literally little children with hopes and dreams that are being mass murdered in Gaza. They had cats too, they had families too, they had hopes too. Many of them are GONE.

If they can still live and fight, so can you.

There is no reason not to.

I learned some things from today.

First, no matter what happens, I love my cat.

Second, I am alive and as long as I am alive, I will continue doing what makes me proud.

Whether it is writing this blog post, talking about people in need, or writing some C++ code or playing the guitar, that should go on.

Peace out!
